Liturgy & Prayer


   *Mass will be celebrated Wednesdays after school at 2:50 pm 

    *There will be no daily Mass when there is a school Mass

     Daily scriptural readings for the Mass  


There will be priests here on Monday December 14th from 10-noon set up to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation in and around the Chapel area.

It will be voluntary for anyone to receive the Sacrament during their lunch period or perhaps through their Theology class during that time frame. 


Presence in the Community

September 12: 10:30-3:30 Mercy service day at Southwest Christian Care in Union City. Students should see Mr. Tolcher for sign-ups.

We may have Eucharistic Adoration if there is enough interest and volunteers to serve as guardians during this time.  All in the community are invited to join us for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  Please contact Mark Tolcher for more information.


Once a month at 10:00 a.m. (or at a different time, as noted), families and others in the community are invited to celebrate our community Mass with us. Scheduled Mass days are as follows:

August 15:  Mass: Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. 

September 2:  Mass: Recognition of the Freshmen and new students -  Freshmen will receive their gifts, and they, along with all new faculty and students, will sign the Mercy book to officially welcome them into our community.   

October 4:  Mass: St Francis 

November 1:  Mass/All Saints Please join us for our monthly community Mass.  During this Mass we will recognize our Junior class with their class gifts.  Class rings will also be blessed during this Mass. 


December 8Immaculate Conception - Please join us for our monthly community Mass as we honor the blessed Mother.  Our Sophomores will also be recognized and presented with their class gifts.

January 20 :  Pro-Life/Respect Life Mass - Please join us at our monthly community Mass as we are reminded to respect life from conception through natural death.  We will also recognize our 1st semester academic achievers.

February 2: Mass- Please join us as we celebrate our monthly community Mass.  

March 1: Ash Wednesday - Please join us as we celebrate the beginning of the season of Lent , with the distribution of ashes during the Mass.

March 30 :  Multicultural Mass Please join us for our annual multicultural Mass, when we celebrate and recognize the diversity in our community and invite students and faculty to dress in the clothes of their heritage.  All are welcome and invited to celebrate with us.

April 26:  Senior Recognition Mass - Please join us as we celebrate and recognize our senior class, and present them with their class gifts during this Mass.   

May 18:  Baccalaureate Mass - Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Benizi at 6:30pm.

May 20: Graduation:  Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will be the main celebrant and will distribute the diplomas to the graduating seniors.   Special time:  12:30 p.m.  and a ticket is required.

 Special visits and Trips

FLAME Retreat- October 14-16. Cost $150.

Mission Trip- Week long trip to Central America Spring/Summer 2017. Est. cost $800-$1200.

March for Life- Washington, DC January 19-22. Est. cost $500. 


Freshmen - September 14, 7:45 am-2:45 pm at the Calvin Center
The annual Freshmen Class Retreat will be held Wednesday, September 14th. The cost is $10 to pay for the facilities and activities. Students need to bring their own lunch. Mercy will provide drinks. 

The goal for the day is to build community and to experience God and the Mercy community in a unique way. The day will include prayer and activities meant to bring the freshmen class together.

Students need to report to Mercy by 7:45 a.m.. We will use Mercy buses as transportation to the nearby Calvin Center. Students will return by the end of the school day. Dress requirements will be explained clearly to students: Jeans or shorts with Mercy top. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Tolcher

Junior  - November 9, 7:45 am-2:45 pm at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody.
We are joining with Pius, Blessed Trinity, Holy Spirit, Pinecrest, and the Vocations Office for a day long retreat for Juniors.  Cost will be free and lunch will be provided.  Dress code is nice jeans*, closed toe shoes, and Mercy shirts (Do not wear your Powder Puff shirts)

Senior - April 26. Day of Service.

Date: Tuesday, April 25th, 2017

The Senior Service Day is scheduled for April 25th. It’s a great way to give back and has always been a fun and meaningful day for our Senior class. A signed permission form is required, and all Seniors are expected to attend. Students should arrive before 7:45 and gather in the cafeteria for attendance and instructions. Dress requirement is jeans, Mercy T-shirt and athletic shoes. Jeans should be without holes or tears, no sandals, flip-flops, etc. They will be working and potentially be outside or getting dirty. Fashion attire is not advised. 

 The day will begin with Mass in the Chapel. Following Mass, students will travel via Mercy buses to various locations in the South Metro Atlanta area to work and serve. The day will conclude with a cookout and final prayer at 2:30.
